Edwar Ramirez is really good
Edwar "the string bean" Ramirez had another great appearance, striking out five in 3.1 innings today against the Syracuse Chiefs. He wasn't facing slouch batters either, he struck out Wayne Lydon, Ray Olmedo, Ryan Roberts, John-Ford Griffin and Mike Vento- - the five best hitters on the Cheifs. On the year, Ramirez has 74 strikeouts in 40.1 combined innings with Trenton and Scranton; not to mention a 0.67 ERA and only 17 walks. Opponents are batting .137 against him.
I've only made small talk with Ramirez, just a "hello, how are you doing today?" sort of thing, I've never had a chance to interview him. I am going to make an effort to speak with him on Friday if I head to PNC though, maybe I can ask him a few things about his stuff and history.

how he hasn't been called up just confuses me... I mean Britton and Ramirez over Villone, Brunney, Myers etc... ANY DAMN DAY !!!
Duh he's the best I've been saying it since last year
