Cashman has yet to decide
Still no word from Brian Cashman regarding his future with the organization, but he has promised to decide "sooner, rather than later:"
Cashman seems committed to the restructuring of the Yankees organization, with an emphasis on player development. And on Sunday, he was communicating normally with employees, showing as much interest as usual in Yankees matters."I'm keeping my fingers crossed," manager Joe Girardi said Monday in a wrap-up news conference. "I believe in Brian, and I think he's been a huge part of this organization, and I want him to come back. But that's his decision.
"I think it'll be (decided) shortly."(source)
I'm a fan of Cashman, and I also like the aggressive attitude Hank brings to the club. Cashman is one of the better GMs in the league, and I really think he enjoys being a Yankee. Perhaps his stalling on a decision is merely a tactic that will help him get what he wants when working out a deal. This whole thing should be resolved soon, anyway.
